Makwatta joins Zambian club Buildcon

Nairobi, KENYA: Kenyan striker John Mark Makwatta has signed a two year contract with newly promoted Zambian side Buildcon, the club has confirmed in a statement.

According to the deal, Makwatta will take home a monthly pay of Sh. 250,000, accommodation allowances plus other bonuses depending on the performance of the club.

Makwatta who won Kenyan Premier League KPL top scorer accolade with Ulinzi Stars last season, become the second Kenyan at Buildcon FC after winger Clifton Miheso who joined in January.

At Zambian Premier League, he will come against other compatriots Athony Akumu, Jesse Were and David Owino, both who ply their trade with immediate former champions Zesco United.
