Kwale, KENYA: Anti-terror police in Kwale county have arrested two more terror suspect’s linked to the Christmas period Kombani police post attack.
The suspects were arrested Thursday morning around Kombani area.
A source within the police told Baraka FM the suspects were likely to be transported to Mombasa Regional police headquarters for further investigation before being taken to court.
The arrest of the suspects comes barely a week after another one was arrested and taken to court.
When contacted for a comment,Kwale county commissioner Kutswa Olakha said he was not in a position to comment on it; as it was still under investigation.
“For now let the investigators carry on their work,” said Mr Olakha.
During the raid ten suspects were repulsed and one gunned down by police.
The suspected assailants armed with bows and arrows, attacked the police post in an attempt to steal firearms.
The suspects injured three police officer’s.
