Former Kilifi gubernatorial candidate George Kithi has been shortlisted for the Solicitor-General post.
Kithi has been shortlisted alongside former Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi.
16 other Kenyans from different counties also made the cut as published by the public service commission.
Kithi lost to Gideon Mung’aro (ODM) in the August 2022 elections.
The Solicitor-General assists the Attorney-General in the performance of the duties of the Attorney-General.
Subject to Article 234 of the Constitution, the Solicitor-General will be responsible for the discipline of State Counsel and other members of staff of the Office.
