A 50-year-old man died on the spot after a lorry tyre blew out early Wednesday in Diani -Kwale County.
According to a police report, the deceased David Mutua Kitheka was welding a full pressured lorry tyre at Tukutane Workshop which suddenly exploded, killing him instantly.
The incident was reported at Msambweni sub-county, Diani police station.
Police have also said that other victims yet to be identified were rushed to Kinondo hospital in serious conditions following the incident.
The body of the deceased is lying at Kwale morgue awaiting postmortem.
Police have commenced investigations into the matter after visiting and taking photos of the scene.
