1,211 more test positive as Kenya’s COVID-19 infections surpass 76,000

1,211 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the country to raise national infections to 76,404.

According to the Ministry of Health, the 1,211 were from a sample size of 9,304 tested in the last 24 hours.

Country’s cumulative tests are now at 833,004.

“368 patients have recovered from the disease, 265 from the Home-Based Care Program, while 103 have been discharged from various hospitals. The total recoveries now stand at 51,352,” said MoH.

Meanwhile, 17 more patients succumbed to the disease raising total COVID-19 fatalities to 1,366.

1,134 are hospitalized with 67 being in the Intensive Care Unit. Another 6,805 are under the home-based care system.
