South African producer and singer Master Kg has announced his separation from his musician girlfriend Makhadzi less than a few months since the two went public with their relationship.
The Jerusalema hitmaker whose real names are Kgaogelo Moagi announced the breakup on Saturday saying that the two had decided to keep the breakup a secret in order to concentrate on their respective careers.
“I never wanted to say this but I had to. Me And Makhadzi Parted Ways Months Ago…To Focus On Our Careers..We are Still Young And we Still Need To Achieve Big Things..Hope Everyone Understand And Respect That..I’m no longer gonna answer Anything related To this Thanks.im happy that we will still give you guys music together.” He announced.
On her side, Makhadzi confirmed the news saying that they would however be working together.
However, Makhadzi a former street singer who rose to fame last year implied that KG was jealous of her success and only announced the news of their breakup over the weekend in an attempt to steal her shine
“ Morning my people I just wanna remind you that we are still on women’s month and I have realized that us as women we are a threat to other men without knowing avhatodi ufhiriwa (Not all men but others).They are jealous and do not want us to shine…I was trending because of my hard work and one person decided to steal my shine” Makhadzi wrote in a now-deleted post.
Though she did not mention names, her fans soon pointed fingers at KG whose hit Jerusalema has become an international sensation.
The two went public with their relationship in February claiming they had been dating secretly for two years.
“We waited for the right time to confirm the relationship because we knew that timing was everything. We have now learned to have our careers while also juggling the relationship at the same time. But it’s not easy because music still comes first for all of us.” KG said in February.
