Kenya’s COVID-19 death toll hits 148

148 Kenyans have died from COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March.

According to Health CAS Rashid Aman the number rose to 148 after four more patients succumbed .

Meanwhile, 20 people in Mombasa County have tested positive for COVID-19 bringing toll to 6,366.

“We tested 2,419 samples in the last 24 hours where 176 people who are Kenyans tested positive”, he said.

In Mombasa, the cases are spread in Mvita (7) kisauni (5), Jomvu (2), Changamwe (5) and Likoni one case.

Meanwhile, 26 more patients were discharged from various hospitals, bringing the tally of recoveries to 2,039.

Kilifi County also reported two cases of COVID-19.
