An 18-year-old suspected female carjacker was on Thursday morning arrested by detectives from the Directorate Criminal Investigations (DCI).
The teenager, Eunice Masiado Nteita and 37-year-old Peter Irungu Maina were arrested as suspects following a carjacking incident that took place in Ruiru on Sunday 23rd February 2020.
DCI detectives based at Ruiru managed to trace and impound the motor vehicle registration number KCX 750T.
Peter Irungu Maina was arrested within the Kinangop area while the 18-year-old was arrested within Suswa area.
“The two suspects are in lawful custody pending arraignment as efforts to trace the owner of the vehicle continue,” said the DCI.
