A 55-year-old man died on the spot at Migadini, Changamwe after he was run over and crushed by a tractor ferrying empty containers to the port of Mombasa.
Changamwe police boss Ali Ndiema said Ayub Onyango was crossing the road when he was hit by the tractor’s front grill before being run over by one of the tires.
“He was rushed to Port Reitz hospital but succumbed to his injuries, “said Ndiema.
The body of the deceased is lying at Coast general mortuary.
This comes just two days after a tuk-tuk driver was killed after a lorry reversed at the Kibarani area of Changamwe.
On Friday last week, a motorcycle rider died on the spot at Kibarani near Changamwe roundabout after a lorry ran over him.
