One of Pokomo community council of elder leader (GASA) has died while undergoing treatment at a Mombasa hospital.
Alex Komora from Tana Delta has been serving in the chairmanship of Tana Delta Pokomo community for the past few years.
Komora had been undergoing treatment after suffering from Lung cancer before he succumbed to the illness on Wednesday.
A close family member who spoke to Baraka FM requesting anonymity as he was not authorized to speak on behalf of the family said the late Komora was also suffering from prostate cancer.
The GASA elders’ leader actively participated in the 2017 political campaigns especially in giving strategies in the community on who to be nominated for the gubernatorial position.
He is also hailed with reuniting the three GASA factions ie Delta, Galole and Bura.
