Nairobi, KENYA: Twalib Abdalla Mbarak has been approved as the next Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission (EACC) CEO.
Parliament approved the nomination of the ex-military intelligence officer in a special sitting held on Tuesday, four days after being vetted.
During his vetting, Mbarak told the committee that if approved, he will audit EACC in order to gain confidence among the public.
He also pointed that he will seek institutional cooperation with other anti graft agencies globally to help the commission in fighting the menace.
Mbarak will be taking over from Khalake Waqo in January after his six years non-renewable contract expires.
