Two Chad nationals arrested with fake billions in Nairobi

Nairobi, KENYA: Two West Africans were on Monday arrested in Nairobi with more than a billion in fake currency.

Abdoulaye Tamba and Abdalla Tamba from Chad and their driver, Anthony Mwangangi, a Kenyan, were arrested in an apartment in Nairobi.

The three were arrested by flying squad officers, at a house on Brookside Drive, Westlands, following a tip-off from members of public.

The officers managed to recover fake currency which was in dollars and euros.

“Today on 1/10/2018 at about 1530hrs following a tip from members of the public, flying squad officers under command of MR MUSA YEGO in charge flying squad Nairobi together with officers from spring valley police station raided sandalwood apartment within Lower Kabete along Brookside Drive and managed to arrest two foreigners namely ABDOULAYE TAMBA, ABDALLA TAMBA and one Kenyan who is their Driver namely ANTONY MWANGANGI,” stated a police report.

The three will be arraigned in court on Tuesday.
