Obado to spend weekend behind bars over the murder of Sharon Otieno

Nairobi, KENYA: Migori governor Okoth Obado is set to spend the weekend at Gigiri police station.

This is according to police who say Obado is set to be arraigned court to be charged with the murder of his late lover Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.

Obado had spent the better part of Friday being grilled by detectives at the DCI headquarters in Kiambu and according to the Directorate, of Criminal Investigations, Obado was arrested immediately after leaving the DCI headquarters.

“Migori Governor Hon.#OkothObado has just been arrested after recording his statement @DCI_Kenya Headquarters & is currently in lawful custody at Gigiri Police Station. He will be arraigned in court on Monday to face charges of murder of university student #SharonOtieno.” The DCI wrote on Twitter.
