Taita Taveta, KENYA: A village in Mwatate, Taita Taveta County is in mourning after the body of a man was discovered cut into pieces and dumped in a thicket.

Mwatate Police Boss Monicah Kimani said the body was separated from the head, forelimbs and hind limb.

She said 31-year-old Jackson Wachenje went missing last week before his body was found dumped in Voi river.

“The deceased’s body was found stashed in a shallow pit at Silalonyi village, police recovered it there five days after the deceased went missing,” she said.

Police have however arrested the 48-year-old Charles Kadori who is suspected to have killed the deceased before dumping his body in the pit.

The deceased body was taken to Wesu Hospital mortuary awaiting a post-mortem.
