Weeks after Rich Mavoko parted ways with Diamond Platnumz owned Wasafi classic label, fresh details are now emerging about the wedge between him and his now-estranged label.

In an earlier interview with Tanzania’s  Kwanza TV Rich Mavoko had stated that Diamond was nagging him and constantly pressuring him to release new hits something that annoyed him.

“Honestly WCB has no plan with anyone all they care is their signee is producing hits as per the contract agreement,Diamond he told me point blank that he expected me to drop hit after hit after the Kokoro hit but I believe every artist has his yearly plan laid out and furthermore there are unforeseen circumstance that one cant avoid” Rich Mavoko said during  the interview.

On Thursday, Rich Mavoko met with Tanzania’s BASATA to discuss on the way forward on his contract which insiders claimed he was terming it as oppressive to the ordinary artiste.

(Rich Mavoko has come to discuss his contact with Wasafi which he terms as oppressive, to the artist.R ich has also requested to be registered as an individual artiste a request which has been granted. We will consult more about the way forward on his contract from the concerned board)” said BASATA  Secretary General  Godfrey Mngereza.

However even before the dust has settled on Rich Mavoko’s exit, Diamond  Platnumz has gifted his two newest signees  Lava Lava and Mbosso Kan brand new Toyota Harriers stating that they deserved the awards for their great work in music.

It is well noted that unlike other Wasafi signees Rayvanny and Harmonize who joined the label at almost the same time, Rich Mavoko has released lesser songs compared to his colleagues.
