Mr. Okoth told Baraka FM that already police officers were on the ground to investigate the root cause of the incidents.

According to Okoth, the incidents occurred simultaneously at around 7 pm evening on Wednesday.

Baraka FM contacted the OCPD for investigation results but he said the officers were yet to come up with  tangible information but promised to call back later.

Furthermore, he said that the investigation process could take time as students who were to be questioned were sitting for their exams and the officers were to wait until exams were over.

“I cannot give comment now because the officers are still on the ground and also the process might take time as students are in their exams. So they have to wait for them to finish then they start the interrogation,” he said.

This comes after Hola boys lost one its dormitories after a fire incident in the school in the recent past.

The torching of school property in Tana River schools has not been common in the county, a matter that has raised an alarm among the stakeholders in the region.

According to the chairman of Hola boys board of management Mr. Khalif Bahola, fire tragedies in the county have not been experienced in the county for quite a long time.
