Argentina’s Nestor Pitana to officiate the 2018 World Cup final match

FIFA has announced the lead referee assigned for World Cup 2018 final match between France and Croatia slated for Sunday evening 18.00 hours.

On Thursday FIFA announced Nestor Pitana from Argentina as the main referee who will lead the referees during the match assisted by Hernan Maidan, Juan Bellatio and Bjorn Kuipers as the fourth official.

Pitana officiated the World Cup opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia. He has also the referee in the France quarter-final Victory over Uruguay and was also in charge of Croatia match against Denmark.

France booked their spot in the final in Moscow after their win against Belgium, while Croatia thrashed England to seal their place in the World Cup final for the first time in their world cup History.
