Body of missing Kisauni Boy found dumped in a sack

Mombasa, KENYA: The body of a 10-year-old boy who was earlier reported missing was on Thursday morning found in a sack that was dumped around Bakarani area in Kisauni, Mombasa.

The late Francis Abubakar was reported missing on Tuesday night.

According to the police report, the deceased mother had left him inside the house only to come back and find him missing.

Mombasa Police Commander Johnstone Ipara said that the body of the late Francis was discovered in a sack near their house in Bakarani, Kisauni on Thursday morning.

“We are investigating the death of a teenager and we call upon anyone with information that can help us to report to police,” said Ipara.

The body has been taken to Coast General Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.

Ipara has warned parents against leaving children alone at night.

Meanwhile, police in Mombasa are also searching for the bodies of four fishermen whose boat capsized on Tuesday.

Mr.Ipara confirmed that six fishermen from Kisauni sub-County were fishing in the Indian Ocean ten kilometers inside the Oceans before their boat capsized at about 11 pm.

“The two fishermen who survived reported the matter to police and they are helping us with searching the missing bodies,” said Ipara.
