Award-winning Holywood actor Tony Goldwyn who has acted in films such as The Last Samurai, Tarzan and award-winning TV series scandal is in the country.
Goldwyn who is also a film producer is in the country together with author Jamal Joseph and on Monday the duo met with Kenya Film Classification board director Ezekiel Mutua.
According to a statement issued by the board, the duo is set to work on a film on award-winning book ‘Find me unafraid”.
The book tells the real-life love story of Keneth and Jessica Odede who are the founders of shining hope for communities an NGO that works with communities in Kibera.
Kenneth who grew up in an underprivileged Kibera slum is married to Jessica Posner.
The two met in Kibera at the height of the 2007 post-election violence and the two struck a deep bond with Jessica helping him secure an education at Wesleyan University in Connecticut USA.
The Kenya Film classification board on Monday said that it was committed to helping the crew with the necessary support from the government in Kenya.
This comes just a few weeks before former US president Barack Obama visits the country.
