Bongo flava hit makers Diamond and Ali Kiba have clearly made a name for themselves in the continent of Africa and internationally.

Just like most artists, the way to the top is not easy, it is marred with beef and diss tracks, some used as a way to remain relevant in the industry while some being the real deal.

Diamond popularly referred to as Simba and Ali Kiba aka King Kiba have had beef for quite some time. Theirs dates to back to 2012 when Kiba was the biggest artist in TZ.

It all started when diamond requested for a feature in Kiba’s then hit song ‘single boy’ in which he featured Lady Jaydee and had his request turned down.

“I never thought of doing a song with him but he called me after the song ‘Single Boy’ leaked. I had already collaborated with Lady JayDee on the song. He told me he would like to feature on the song, and that he already had a concept for the music video. But I told him I preferred the song to have a single boy single girl theme rather than two male artists.” Ali kiba said during an interview on Kwanza Tv.

Kiba claims Simba went ahead to share misleading information with bloggers that he deleted the latter’s verse from the song.

“Around a week later, I hear from blogs that I had deleted his verses from the song when they were never there,” said Ali kiba.

Ali kiba however chose to give credit where its due but not without hinting he is no Diamond fan.

“I’m happy his music picked up. He is representing our country. He is very hardworking and sometimes I’m also a fan of good music. I’m not a fan of Diamond but I will say there are some songs he has done very well,” Alikiba said.
