Kenya rises in FIFA Rankings

Nairobi, KENYA: Kenya’s Harambee Stars has risen up two places in the latest FIFA Rankings released by World football governing body on Thursday.

Stars who did not take part in any international assignment in the last one month are now placed at position 111 from 113 it held previously.

This come as Kenya gears up to play Swaziland and Equatorial Guinea in international friendly matches next month in preparation for the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana set for September.

Meanwhile, Tunisia is the best ranked team in the continent followed by Senegal, Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria and Ghana in the order.

World defending champions Germany leads globally while Brazil, Belgium, Portugal and Argentina complete the best five teams respectively.
