Nairobi,KENYA:There were no causalities in the fire inferno that guttered a section of st.Georges girls school in Nairobi Saturday night.
In a statement Mwachi Pius Masai , Deputy Director and Communication Officer National Disaster Management Unit said
Emergency responders moved swiftly to put off the fire which started in the kitchen section.
“It is unfortunate that fire incident has been experienced at St. George’s Girls High School, kitchen. So far no injuries and the cause of fire not known”Maasai said in astatement.
Emergency responders including the Nairobi City County Fire Fighters moved swiftly and put off the fire.
The fire incident started at about 9.30 pm on Saturday evening.
Students who panicked were during the inferno were attended to until the situation was quelled.
This inferno transpired after another fire guttered down a dormitory at Moi girls school in Nairobi whereby approximately nine students lost their lives.
