Pupil crushed to death by school bus in Mombasa

Mombasa, KENYA: A pupil was on Friday morning crashed to death by a school bus in which he was riding.

According to eye-witnesses, the nursery pupil from St Augustine’s Preparatory School in Tudor, Mombasa, died on the spot.

The young boy was ran over by the back wheels of the bus when he fell down through an opening on the floor of the bus.

“He wanted to pick his bag that had fallen down and unfortunately he fell through the opening, it’s so sad the sister witnessed all that.” Said Jane Wawuda; one of the eyewitnesses.

The incident happened in Majengo on Friday at around 6.30am and the bus driver and his assistant are said to have escaped after the incident.

Police officers and school officials arrived at the scene of the accident early Friday morning.
