Mombasa, KENYA: The High court in Mombasa on Friday ordered Mombasa Women Rep Mishi Mboko’s son in-law to under take a psychiatrist test, before being charged with murder.
Tariq Twalib is alleged to have killed a watchman at Khoja flats in Majengo area within Mombasa County on 23rd March, 2017.
Lady justice Njoki Ndung’u directed the police to take Mr.Twalib to Coast general hospital for a mental check up.
The suspect had been detained for two weeks at Makupa police station to allow police complete investigations.
Twalib recently got married to Mboko’s daughter Hafidha Wakesho in a colourful wedding that was attended by senior county officials.
The suspect and other six people are accused of attacking and killing Peter Granton Wanyika in his house, on claims that he had stolen a wallet from his room.

Lady Justice Njoki Ndung’u also directed that the suspect be remanded at Shimo la Tewa maximum prison.
He is set to plead to murder charges on 20th April, 2017.
