Mombasa, KENYA: Police in Likoni are holding a 14 year-old-girl suspected to be a member of the dreaded Watalia gang .
The suspect name whose name has been withheld was arrested in the Vyemani neighborhood of Likoni by special team of police officers formed to track down criminal gang.
Likoni police boss Willy Simba confirmed to Baraka FM on Tuesday saying that they suspected she was a member of the gang because she some marks on her body that show allegiance to the group.

“We are holding the suspect,but it is shocking to find a school girl who has been recruited to join the gang, she had drawings in her hands pledging allegiance to the outlawed gang,” said the police boss.
The arrest comes barely a week after 13 other members of the Watalia criminal gang were arrested in the area.
Security agencies in Likoni have been grappling with criminal gangs who have wrecked havoc in the area by attacking residents with crude weapons.
The police boss said his team is doing all it takes to fight the gangs before the August general elections.
Meanwhile, two people are nursing deep cuts in their bodies after they were slashed Sunday night by another gang dubbed Wajuku wa bibi in Barabara mchanga area, Ujamaa in Likoni.
Police say they have identified a man identified as Chege who happens to be an aspiring MCA as the man behind the criminal gang and have summoned him for questioning.
