Nairobi,KENYA: Frasha of P-unit has ditched the Orange Democratic movement to vie on a Maendeleo chap chap ticket. Frasha made the announcement on his Instagram handle on Monday.

Frasha revealed that he decided to join Maendeleo chap chap because of its principles.

“Today i joined Maendeleo Chap Chap due to the principles this party stand for. I will work with governor @alfredmutua to bring the developments that he as done and replicated this to Athi river #INCOMINGMCA#maendeleochachap#letthepeopledecide #mcc” Frasha wrote.

The post was then accompanied by a photo of him and the Machakos governor who happens to be the party founder.

The move refutes the rumors that had been swirling that he was vying for the Athi River township seat on an ODM ticket.

The rumors were fueled by the ODM director of operations Bob Njagi who had posted of photo of him and Frasha hanging out together implying that he would vie on an ODM ticket.

“With Frasha a musician from the famed record breaking group P-UNIT. He has his eyes set to become a Hon member of the county assembly (ODM) in Athi-river ward (2017-2022) where he was born and raised.”

However, reports indicate that Mutua and Frasha have been friends even long before he declared his intentions to vie for the Athi river township MCA seat.
