Mombasa, KENYA: Police in Ukunda-Kwale county have launched investigations into macabre killings of a security guard, at Teens watch rehabilitation centre.
The deceased whom police said is a local security guard, had deep cuts in his head and neck. He died at Pumpbeach hospital while undergoing treatment.
Msambweni police boss Joseph Chebusit on Tuesday told Baraka FM that the assailants tied the security guard before hacking him to death.
“The suspects stole a laptop and a Tv set,there were other valuables but they did not steal. Our officers are working around the clock to bring the suspects to book,” said the police boss.
He said the director of the said rehab has recorded his statement with the police.
The killings happen barely some days after the car belonging to the director of the rehab was set ablaze by unknown people.
Cosmas Maina the director of the rehab had accused the drug barons of trying to scare him away.
The rehab houses about 4000 drug addicts majority being youth undergoing rehabilitation.
