Mombasa, KENYA:Chama cha Uzalendo party officials have warned former Kathiani Mp Wavinya Ndeti to desist from making any communication on behalf of the party.
Speaking to journalists in Mombasa the Mombasa Chama Cha Uzalendo chairman Maur Abdallah said that the party had distanced itself from Ms Wavinya who on numerous occasions defied court orders.
Maur said Ms Ndeti has continued to pass as the party leader of CCU, a position that does not exist in the new party constitution.
‘She has been captured by various media propagating that Chama Cha Uzalendo is an Ukambani political party in campaign to support the election of Kalonzo Musyoka as a presidential candidate who is not even sure of clinching the NASA coalition ticket’ said Maur.
He also said Chama Cha Uzalendo is on record of being a member of Jubilee coalition since 2013 and supported the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to court documents obtained by journalists,Ms Wavinya Ndeti was on 8th March 2017, restrained by way of injunction from further publishing, broadcasting, propagating or distributing information on any media including digital, print or radio in Kenya pending the hearing and determination of the application dated 7th February 2017.
CCU officials allege that despite the court order,Ms Wavinya Ndeti has continued to publish, disseminate and propagate malicious information on her Facebook accounts.
Chama Cha Uzalendo CCU on Friday filed a complain for court contempt against Ndeti for allegedly posting the details of a court order dated 2015 that barred Maura and other party officials from acting as CCU officials
