Harambee Stars to hosts Uganda in Friendly match

Nairobi, KENYA: National men’s soccer team Harambee Stars will play host to Uganda Cranes on March 22 in an international friendly match.

Football Kenya Federation FKF on Tuesday in a statement confirmed the clash will be played just four days before Kenya welcomed DR Congo in another test match.

This will be the first time that Harambee Stars will be locking horns with Uganda after the August 2016 friendly match which ended in a barren draw in Nambole Stadium, Uganda.

Uganda nevertheless will approach the match as the favorites according to the bookies having featured in the February concluded African Cup of Nations AFCON which Kenya last featured in 2004.

The motive of engaging in the match however remain common as both teams are hopeful the clash will serves as a build up to the 2019 AFCON qualifiers which kicks off on June.
