Nairobi, KENYA: National men’s soccer team Harambee Stars has retained position 87, same it held in January according to the latest Rankings released on Thursday by World football governing body FIFA.

Kenya also remained unmoved in the continent where it sits 20th as well as in the Central and Eastern Africa CECAFA region where it’s ranked second behind Uganda.

Harambee Stars stagnation can be attributed to the team’s lack of active football during that period, since while other African teams gathered in Gabon for the finals, the country remained in the cold having failed to qualify.

Meanwhile, the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON finalist Egypt leads in Africa while newly crowned champions Cameroon jumped up 29 places to third in the continent, as dethroned champions Ivory Coast dropped to 9th.

Argentina remains the best ranked country globally followed by rejuvenated Brazil with Germany, Chile and Belgium making up the best fives teams in the World.
