Kenya moves up two places in latest FIFA Rankings

Nairobi, KENYA: National men’s soccer team Harambee Stars has moved up two places in the latest World FIFA Rankings released on Thursday.

The Stanley Okumbi coached sides are now ranked 87th globally and 20th in the continent.

Uganda remains the best ranked team in the East African region followed by Kenya while Rwanda sits third with Ethiopia and Sudan summing up the top five in that order.

Senegal occupy the first position in Africa, followed by defending champions Ivory Coast while Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria are the continent’s best five countries respectively.

Global standings remain as it was in the December rankings where Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Chile and Belgium were ranked as the best teams in that order.
