Kenyan Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o has replied to Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala’s claim that she has been out of reach for five years.
Addressing the queries on why the Ministry chose English Super Model Naomi Campbel to be Magical Kenya International Ambassador and not Lupita, CS Balala claimed that the actress was not accessible and that the ministry had spent the last five years looking for her.
“She has commitments and her managers cannot allow us to access her. When you reach Lupita’s level, agents run the show, they monetize every single move. Even the father who is Governor of Kisumu cannot use her image to promote the county,” said the Tourism CS.
However, the Oscar Award winner laughed off Balala’s claim with a reply on social media.
