Nairobi, KENYA: Jubilee MPs have faulted opposition chief Raila Odinga over a u turn he is making against Saffran Morpho company that was given a tender to offer IT services in the 2017 general elections.

In a media briefing at parliamentary buildings led by Kikuyu member of parliament Kimani Ichungwa and nominated member of parliament Cecilie Mbarire accused Odinga of being insincere for pushing for Morpho to be denied a leeway to offer IT services in the upcoming general election, arguing that he fronted the name of the company in the past to offer its services in the last election.

“From the investigations in the parliamentary committee ,in the last parliament ,it was asserted that sub-committee that dealt with issues to do with acquisition of BVR kits was chaired by non other than Raila Amollo Odinga at capacity as prime minister.”Ichungwah said

They accused Odinga of having five companies which  he clandestinely wants to win tenders for his self gains.

The MPs urged the NASA team to join other Kenyans for the  17th October polls and stop hiding behind the Morpho company and IEBC issues .

They slammed Odinga for planning to skip the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission meeting scheduled for Wednesday to chat the way forward on the looming electoral stalemate where president Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition chief Raila Odinga were invited to chat on the way forward.

They insisted that elections must be held on 17th of October to pave way for candidates to sit for the national exams as scheduled to avert further stalemate.
