Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho has asked top county security personnel to arrest any leader who will be found holding political rallies in Mombasa.
Speaking in Mombasa, Joho said that police in the county should ensure all directives issued by President Uhuru Kenyatta to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 are adhered to.
“Even if I’m found in a political rally place don’t even salute me arrest me immediately,” said Joho.
He also said that he will not allow any political leaders both in Mombasa and outside Mombasa to hold any political gathering in the next 30 days.
Joho said that he is on leave for any political rallies and he will be doing other duties as Mombasa governor.
