Kilifi,KENYA: Six people have been killed in an accident involving a 14 seater matatu and a lorry in Mariakani in Kilifi county.
According to the Mariakani OCPD Kennedy Osando the 14 seater Matatu was headed to Wundanyi when it collided with a lorry headed to Mombasa killing three on the spot.
The other three died on their way to the Coast Provincial general hospital.
A mother and her two children are among the deceased.
The driver of the who police say was driving on the wrong lane when he collided with the matatu escaped after the incident.
