Police officers in Marererni village in Magarini, Kilifi County are pursuing a man who allegedly defiled his two-year-old daughter.
Marereni Police Station Superintendent James Kago has confirmed the incident saying the suspect (name withheld) is still at large after the heinous crime.
The girl’s mother urged the security officers to arrest her husband to face the law for destroying the life of his daughter.
She also alleged her husband has been marrying off his daughters while still minors.
“I caught him red-handed in the act but my daughters told me it’s not the first time he is doing it”, she said.
She also revealed that her daughters have on several occasions confessed to having seen their father rape the two-year-old.
“I want him arrested because my Children have no peace. He married them off early in fact none of them is educated. I wonder about his intentions of raping a two old repeatedly! Does he want to make her his wife?”, she posed.
The area chief Kazungu Ngala calmed area residents who wanted to search for the suspect and lynch by assuring them that the suspect will be brought to book.
