Nairobi,KENYA: Kenyan Premier League KPL continued over the weekend with teams posting mixed results in different venues across the country.

At Mombasa, hosts Bandari FC maintained their poor run of results after they lost by a solitary goal to visiting Kariobangi Sharks at the Mbaraki stadium on Saturday.

Other day’s matches saw leaders Gor Mahia beat Nzoia United 4-0, thanks to a brace from Rwandan import Jacques Tuyisenge.

Elsewhere, Nakumat FC returned to its winning ways by clipping Posta Rangers 2-0, Kakamega Homeboyz edged Thika United 2-1 while Muhoroni Youth and Ulinzi Stars settled for a barren draw.

The shocker of the weekend saw Sony Sugar humbled defending champions Tusker 2-0, a setback that left the Brewers languishing 9th in the table with 30points, 17 points adrift of Gor Mahia.

Meanwhile, AFC Leopards continued its winning ways with a commanding 3-1 success away at Zoo Kericho at Kericho Green stadium, Ray Omondi starring with a brace.

Second placed Sofapaka FC recorded the biggest victory of the weekend by trouncing Chemelil Sugar 4-1 to move to within six points off leaders having played one match more.
