Over 1.3 million grade 6 candidates start KPSEA

1,313,913 grade six candidates nationwide have started their Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).

The grade six learners started KPSEA on Monday with Mathematics followed by English.

While leading the distribution of assessment materials in various parts of the country, Kenya National Examination Council CEO Dr. David Njegere urged center managers to allow candidates to sit the assessment in a natural environment.

Meanwhile, the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is continuing, with candidates expected to sit for their Home Science practicals on Monday.

Mombasa County Commissioner Mohammed Nur said they have implemented measures to ensure that KPSEA and the ongoing KCSE examinations run smoothly.

“Grade six learners had rehearsals on Friday and have started their assessment today, form fours are continuing with theirs. We are ready and we have put measures in place to ensure our children sit for the exams without any hitches,” said CC Nur.
