Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) men basketball team will play the final round of Basketball African League (BAL) qualifications after securing the second spot in the first round in Madagascar.

The Dockers smashed Djabal from Comoros 120-37 in their opening match on Saturday before suffering a narrow defeat of 60-66 from their hosts Omnisport de la Police Nationale (COSPN) on Sunday.

The Kenyan champions now have qualified together with COSPN despite their defeat and will play the final round in South Africa next month.

KPA played only two matches in group D after three clubs withdrew from the tournament for various reasons.

Foxes basketball club (Zimbabwe), Dekedaha Sports Club (Somalia) and Roche Bois Warriors (Mauritius) are the clubs who missed the three days tournament.
