The IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba has taken a three week leave.

Speaking to Reuters on Thursday, Chiloba said it was the first time he was taking a leave since his son was born.

“This is the first time I‘m taking leave since my son was born. He turns two years (old) in two weeks’ time” Chiloba told Reuters.

This development comes just a few days after the IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati called on IEBC staff who are linked to the cancelled August 8th presidential election to resign.

Pressure has been mounting on the CEO to resign over alleged involvement in the nullified election.
