Don’t fall for fake agencies sending you to the Middle East- CS Chelugui

Kenyans have been urged to be very alert and aware of fake job recruiting agencies promising them jobs in the middle East.

Speaking in Mombasa, Labour CS Simon Chelugui, emphasized on the youths taking advantage of the job fairs to avoid falling for fake agencies.

He said the job fair will offer basic training and advises for individuals to identify the necessary procedure in finding suitable opportunities for their skills.

“Its unfortunate that some Kenyans have lost lives and even abused, hence we have come up with this job fairs to sensitize job seekers on how we can deliver smooth, safe, orderly migration of Kenyan workers”, he stated

On her part acting director at National Employment Agency Edith Okoki urged Kenyans to register with the authority through their website www.neaims.go.ke while applying for Gulf job opportunities.

She further stated that migrant workers will benefit from the job fair from injustices and mistreatment from their foreign employers.

“If they register with the national employment authority which will be easier for the organization in following up their complaints”, she added.

The inaugural job fair was held on Tuesday 28 June 2022 at Sarova white sands resort, Mombasa county.
