At least 7,499 people have been tested for COVID-19; one month after the first case of the disease was reported in the country.
Out of those tested, 197 have tested positive the youngest being a two year old.
Data from the Ministry of Health shows that, as at Sunday 12th April, eight people had died from COVID-19 while 25 others fully recovered from the disease. The youngest person to die from the disease is a six year old boy who was suffering from pre-existing ailments.

A total of 2,160 contacts have been monitored, out of which 1,660 have been discharged while 500 are still being monitored.
Since reporting the first case of coronavirus in the country, the National government and individual Counties have put in place several measures to mitigate the spread starting with closure of all schools 16th and 20th March, 2020.
The country has put in place several measures to curb the spread of the disease including a national 7pm to 5am daily curfew.
International flights into the country have been banned and travel into and out of the four national hotspots i.e. Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale and Nairobi has been suspended for 21 days.
Government has made it mandatory for everyone accessing public areas like supermarkets, open air markets, matatus and bodabodas to wear face masks.
The public has been urged to observe social distance of about 1.5 meters while businesses have been encouraged to allow employees to work from home, where possible.
Global infections currently stand at almost 1.8 million with the number of deaths at 109,788 and recoveries at 411,590.
United States leads in both number of COVID-19 infections and deaths.
