Labour Principal Secretary Nelson Marwa is a man in hot soup after a court ordered a DNA test to be conducted on him to determine whether he is indeed responsible for impregnating a 27 year old woman.
Elizabeth Moraa Mairura filed a child support case on Tuesday at Kitale Resident Magistrate court against Marwa for allegedly absconding his parental responsibilities.
In a a sworn affidavit, Moraa claimed that she dated Marwa in the year 2017 when he was still coast Regional Coordinator and got pregnant only for Marwa to go missing.
Moraa told the court, that the out spoken PS went mute after her delivery of a baby girl in 2018 which led her to seek legal redress.
This prompted Resident Magistrate Cherono Kesses to order a DNA test to be conducted at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital to determine whether Marwa is indeed the biological father of the claimed child.
The case will be heard on Tuesday, April 23.
