200 students joining form one to benefit from scholarship

Mombasa, KENYA:200 new students from Kwale county and Likoni sub-county who recently sat for their KCPE will be sponsored to join form one in 2019.

This is under the Base Titanium scholarship and education programmes.

Mr. Juma Lumumba, the community Life Skills Superintendent at Base Titanium said the programme is in line with the big four agenda.

“ We believe that our community programmes have a positive impact in realising Kenya’s national goals including Vision 2030 and the Big Four Agenda.” He said.

Bas titanium has sponsored 1, 012 students in high school scholarship programme.

Currently, 712 students sponsored to university and college students in Kwale County and Likoni Sub-County re pursuing different courses including, Medicine, Law, Engineering, and Nursing.

Mr. Lumumba added that the students in the different tertiary institutions study different fields that have a direct link with the Big Four Agenda.

“Already we are seeing students who have cleared college coming to work in the community health institutions which is a big boost for universal health care,” He said.

The Scholarship by Base Titanium which will now have over 1,900 students, is a boost to Kwale County Government which also sponsors over 2, 700 students in secondary schools
