Mabati rolling mills launches photography competition

 Mabati Rolling Mills, the leading manufacturers of roofing and building solutions in Kenya has today launched the second edition of the annual photography competition with the aim of sparking a conversation on conservation.

Speaking during the launch, Mabati Rolling Mills Head of Marketing Karen Gikunda said, MRM Eye in the wild-STOP THE CHOP photography competition hopes to draw the public EYE through the camera lens on the state of flora and fauna conservation in Kenya.

He added that this year’s competition will be about forest conservation, the beauty of it, its impact on climate change and the environmental degradation that is currently happening as well as the use of a digital platform to get the message to the right audience.

He also noted that the focus areas are the community, wildlife, lifestyle and water with the rationale being that they all depend on the forest to survive.

Head of Safal Group Regional Marketing for Eastern Africa Harry Muchangi also in the launch said that there is a need to protect our environment to safeguard our future generations as climate action is a duty for all

 “It’s an honor to be part of an initiative that will drive the conservation around conservation while appreciating the beauty of Mother Nature.” Said Muchangi.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Mabati Rolling Mills is committed to giving back to the environment where it works, through creativity and in a fun way.

This will be the second edition after edition that was launched on March 29, 2017, that attracted huge submissions from the public.
