Mombasa, KENYA: Mombasa high court has dismissed an election petition filed by former Likoni Member of Parliament Mwalimu Masoud Mwahima.

Justice Erick Ogolla on Friday ruled that the election for Likoni constituency Member of Parliament was done in accordance with the law and it reflected on the will of the people of Likoni.

“The court found out that there were some irregularities but they were minor and did not affect the results,”ruled Ogolla.

Mr.Mwahima had alleged that his agents were denied access to some polling station and that form 35As were not signed by the presiding officers but the court dismissed the allegations.

Court noticed that some agents of the petitioner intetionally failed to sign form 35As without any reason.

Justice Ogolla ordered Mwahima to pay a cost of Sh.2.5 million.
