Mombasa, KENYA: Police in Likoni are holding two suspected robbers who were found to be in  possession of toy guns.

According to police, the duo were separately arrested on Sunday in the area.

Police say the first suspect Mosses Wamwondo,40, was arrested at a screening machine as he was about to cross the Likoni-Ferry channel. He was also allegedly armed with machete and torch at the time of his arrest.

The other suspect Ali Abdallah, 26, was arrested in Majengo Mapya Likoni area after complaints from public and bodaboda riders who have fallen victims of the suspects.

Bodaboda riders complained that they were being harassed by the suspect especially during night hours and even robbed at gunpoint.

This prompted police to launch a manhunt and arrested the suspect who was found to be armed with toy firearm.
