Mombasa, KENYA: Police in Likoni, Mombasa on Wednesday arrested 10 alleged drug peddlers at the shores of Indian Ocean Waters and recovered unknown quantity of drugs.
Brighton Otieno,Hamisi Kamue, Mbwana Hassan, Nusuru Sulemaman, Amin Elote, Ramadan Sawaleh,Nassir Zoro,Ali Abdallah, Daniel Muturu and Juma Omar were all arrested following a crackdown carried out by a team of police officers tasked to fight drug abuse in the area.
Likoni police boss Willy Simba termed the arrest as a major breakthrough in the war against drug abuse in the county.
He said the suspects will be grilled to ascertain if they are linked to any criminal gangs terrorizing residents, before being arraigned in court on Thursday.
He reiterated that the fight against drug abuse will continue in the whole subcounty.

The suspects are being held at Likoni police Station.
