Latest popularity poll places Uhuru ahead of Raila

Nairobi,KENYA: The latest opinion polls released  by Info track has placed president Uhuru Kenyatta’s popularity as the favourite presidential candidate, ahead of National Super Alliance presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga.

Infortrak CEO Angela Ambitho said Uhuru’s popularity stood at 48 percent while Raila followed closely at 43 percent.

Ambitho said in Nyanza, Raila’s popularity stood at 83 percent while Uhuru registered 14 percent.

In Central region Uhuru’s popularity is highest at 95 percent while Raila stands at 5 percent.

In terms of the status of the nation ,50 percent of Kenyans feel that the country heads into the  wrong direction while 45 percent  feel that the nation heads into the right direction.

The results are from a survey conducted from a sample of 2,000 Kenyans in 29 constituencies countrywide on June 24th and 25th.

Abduba Dida is in third, with a 0.5 per cent score, while Ekuru Aukot, Cyrus Jirongo and Joe Nyagah follow with a 0.1 per cent score each
