Am ready to face-off with Mishi Mboko ,Domoko

Mombasa,KENYA: Likoni constituency aspirant Khamis Domoko expressed  confidence in defeating his close competitor Mombasa women representative Mishi Mboko for Likoni parliamentary seat.

Speaking to Baraka FM,Domoko said he had already registered as an independent candidate and he beliefs Mishi Mboko is unable to defeat him because she has no political popularity and agenda for Likoni residents.

“I believe in people, am eagerly waiting for her in the ballot, my people will make the right decision” said Domoko.

Domoko also through blames to Mombasa governor Hassan Joho whom he accuses of interfering with the ODM party primaries to favor ms Mboko.

“Some of the ODM party leaders including Mombasa governor Hassan Joho are tribalists he lured the officers and some residents with an aim of making Mishi to be the winner” Domoko said.

Domoko will also face-off with the incumbent Masoud Mwahima who decamped from ODM to the Jubilee party.

The Independent electoral and Boundaries Commission announced  yesterday that aspirants planning to vie for political seats as independent candidates have until 8th   this month to complete their registration but the communication director of the commission insisted on no extension of the date.

According to  the constitution,any person is eligible to vieas an independent candidate for election if the person is not a member of a registered political party atleast three months immediately before the date of the election.
